Prints- Black & White from Charleston, SC

After several years of taking no sort of vacation, my mom and I decided to take a day trip to Charleston, SC. Wouldn't you know it, it rained. Still, we went ahead to the beautiful place and ended up having a truly wonderful time. I was happy to have my camera with me to snap some shots of the beautiful place and it helped me realize that the place was just as beautiful, mysterious, and enchanting in the rain.

Prints- Black & White from Chapin, SC

Shooting in black and white has always been my favorite. Throw in nature, and I'm one happy photographer. With this shoot I was doing something different, I was trying to photograph light. I was happy with the outcome and I hope you will be too.

G.A.- Lindsay Wesner

September’s Guest Artist Lindsay Wesner

In her own words,

“I'm a photographer that doesn't edit pictures to make them good...I just want to take a decent picture and let it stand for itself. I love capturing the beauty in people when they can't see it themselves. That's why I think subconsciously I'm drawn to children as a subject matter. Children aren't aware that they are living up to a standard set by society...they are just content being themselves, as I wish a lot of adults would keep in mind. My mission is to portray people in the way that they should be...if they were to be themselves....along with the fact that I just love taking photos of pretty much anything.”

To see more of Lindsay’s work, check out her flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lindsaywesner/

$5 for an 8x 10 inches print of any of the pictures below.  Respond to post or contact myself for purchasing information.

These pictures fall into Lindsay's four main categories: Children, Concert, Portraiture, & Travel.

September Update

Monthly Blog Update

“September”

Hello everyone!  I want to start off by saying thank you to everyone for looking at my blog and a special thanks to those who purchased something from it!  I hope you enjoy your piece(s) and come back for more!  As always, please forward the blog on to your friends, family, coworkers, fellow art lovers, anyone and everyone.

Last month, being the blog’s first month, I was able to get out some of my older pieces of work.  These were some of my “starter pieces”.  Now that a majority of these pieces have been sold, you should expect to see more current pieces going up more often.

Something else that was added to the blog was some of my digitally altered photography.  And I feel quite sad for it as it has received very little attention or admiration at all:(.  However I assure it and myself that someone will look at it someday!

Be sure to stop in during September and look for the addition of one, possibly two, black and white photo series and a painting or two or three as well.  Also, as mentioned earlier on the blog, look for the first post in the new addition of the “guest artist” post to the blog.  Starting in September, each month there will be a guest artist featured on the blog.  Starting off the new addition as September’s Guest Artist is Photographer Lindsay Wesner.  Lindsay is a friend of mine from the art program at Winthrop University.  I have seen much of Lindsay’s work and am very impressed with her ability to spot the beauty in everything; I have even had the pleasure of being the subject in front of her camera lens.  I recommend Lindsay as a photographer, especially for portraits.  I am also a big fan of her work.  I hope you enjoy her photographs as much as I do.

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day!
